A performance criteria will help to identify a small number of performance athletes on the Island, who would benefit from meaningful investment to support them in taking the next steps toward High Performance Sport. These individuals will have consistently demonstrated they are close to the performance levels required to be accepted onto World Class programmes, or be offered professional contracts within their sport. Performance Athlete Grant athletes receive a grant from IoM Sport Aid to enable them to take the requisite actions, to progress their performance levels further, over a maximum 3-year time period.
