Sports-Specific Development Officers

As per the Isle of Man Sport “Support for Sport” Funding report (updated February 2019), “Where a Sports-Specific Development Officer is employed by the Governing Body, funding may be available from Isle of Man Sport on a ‘matched’ basis up to a maximum Isle of Man Sport contribution of £15,000 towards the salary and employment costs.”

The following Sports-Specific Development Officers have been part-funded by Isle of Man Sport over the previous years;

Athletics, Badminton, Cricket, Football, Golf, Hockey, Netball, Rugby, Tennis and Swimming.

Current Sports-Specific Development Officers

As of January 2026, there are five Sports-Specific Development Officers part-funded by Isle of Man Sport:

• Athletics
• Cricket
• Hockey
• Netball
• Rugby
