Established in 1991 by the Isle of Man Sports Council, Sport Aid is a Manx registered charity that provides funding for a full range of assistance to our top athletes through the Isle of Man Sport High Performance Centre.
Our Charitable objective is:
the advancement of amateur sport, citizenshihp and community development by assisting sportspeople at all levels, both within the Isle of Man or connected to the Isle of Man, by offering them the support, training and facilities necessary to realise their full potential through working in partnership with a range of sponsors and offering Isle of Man athletes the opportunity to compete at national, international and world level, and by promoting the Isle of Man on the as a centre of sporting excellence.

Our Vision is for the Island to become the most successful athlete identification and development community in the World.
Our Mission is to enable athletes across the breadth of sporting participation on the Isle of Man to fulfil their sporting ambitions in the knowledge that some of those people will go on to excel in international competitions at the very highest level. We believe that individual success is dependent upon community collaboration and aspiration to ensure success at the top level is to the benefit of all levels of sport on the Isle of Man.
Over the years our Island's athletes have proven that living on a small island is no barrier to success. Sport Aid beneficiaries have gone on to win national and world championships, play in World Cups European Cups and World Championships for International team AND win medals at the Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games.
Through partnerships with, amongst others, local sponsors, local and UK governing bodies, professional teams and the UK Institute of Sport, the grant funding we provide to individual athletes allied to the continued investment in the High Performance Centre and the development of the expertise and service levels provided by the IoM Sport Performance Services staff we believe we are in a strong place to add to the Isle of Man’s international sporting reputation in the years ahead.
For many years we have received principal sponsorship from the Isle of Man Government through the disbursement of National Lottery Duty via Isle of Man Sport. Our athletes are also fortunate to enjoy a close relationship with a number of local businesses, which provide ongoing financial support and an invaluable network for enhancing awareness of our community goals.
We believe our Island has only scratched the surface of it's potential in terms of Sporting achievement and with the support of new and existing sponsors we can ramp up our efforts to provide world class support to the Island's next generation of sporting talent.
